Utilizing recycled cotton from our own manufacturing process in Tokyo, we weave a story of environmental consciousness and mindful production. Tsuriami 吊り編み is a traditional loopwheel knitting technique, first developed in Italy and later perfected in Japan during the early 20th century. Each machine operates with 1,000 needles, painstakingly hand-set and regularly checked by skilled craftsmen. The fabric produced on these hang knitting machines carries a distinctive texture and is more than twice as strong as modern machine-made fabrics.
